1) Description of Spiral Bevel Gear
Spiral bevel gear is a kind of bevel gear with curved tooth line, whose teeth are distributed on the surface of cone,
and the meshing between staggered shafts realises the power transmission and motion conversion between intersecting shafts or staggered shafts.
2) Features of Spiral Bevel Gear
a) Smooth transmission: the wheel teeth gradually enter and exit the mesh, low impact and vibration, low operating noise.
b) Strong load-bearing capacity: large degree of overlap, multiple gear teeth engaged at the same time, can withstand larger loads and torque.
c) Higher transmission efficiency: Compared with straight bevel gears, spiral bevel gears have less tooth surface sliding,
and the transmission efficiency can reach 95% - 98%.
3) Working Principle of Spiral Bevel Gear
When the active spiral bevel gear rotates, it meshes with the driven spiral bevel gear by means of the helical curve of the gear teeth,
transmits the rotary motion and torque from the active shaft to the driven shaft, and at the same time realises a change in the direction of motion, e.g.,
in an automobile differential, which distributes the power of the engine to the right and left wheels.
